Regolarita
BY XTR Pepo
Starting from a Scrambler Icon, the idea was to develop a 60s/70s offroad bike, which were jjust road-bikes with long travel suspensions and high-end exhaust. My inspiration was the 1962´s Ducati Scrambler (first one made for Berliner).
The whole design is focused towards the fuel tank, a 1963 Ducati Deluxe 250cc with several mods in order to adapt the lower part of the original tank and an Ossa Enduro seat. The whole rear subframe is custom-made, removing the airbox and relocating the whole wiring harness, including the ABS module. Sportclassic GT single-sided swingarm, that makes the rear suspension move from the side to the center. High ending exhaust, classic lights with metallic rack and a rear iconic Lucas. Brushed aluminium mudguards as in the 60´s.
The rims are substituted for spoke Scrambler classic ones to give more of an off-road look.
The name REGOLARITA comes from the discipline of off-road riding that ran in the ISDE (six days) in the 70s. This discipline was won by the most regular rider. Ducati developed a 125cc REGOLARITA bike in the last 70s.
